MACO CUBE BLUE You've heard it right! A film when processed as a transparency, renders a IRON-BLUE image. This is no trick, and we are not joking. While we are not sure of the manufatures reason to build this film with a blue layer it has turned into a dr5 plus. CUBE has a compressed - flatter than a #2 grade contrast. For a 400 speed film it is reasonably sharp. Better in low-key lighting. CUBE's dmax is a bit low but doesnt seem to make it difficult to work with. This film is best @ 100 iso bringing the dmax to 3.00 The blue layer doesnt harm our chemistry, however it can not run in DEV-2 sepia. IRONTONE BLUE chromes without toning! NORMAL ISO-200 Ei : 50 - 400 iso This set of test shots are the first, others soon to follow. |
